The San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame has revealed its esteemed Class of 2026, a lineup of individuals whose achievements have profoundly influenced the city’s sports landscape. Among those honored are the foundational UTSA football coach Larry Coker, Olympic swimming medalist James Feigen, record-setting quarterback Frank Harris, and exceptional track athlete Tameka Roberts-Nuñez alongside the legendary 1971 Texas 4A state football champions from Robert E. Lee High School.

Larry Coker, hailed as a pivotal figure in establishing the UTSA Roadrunners football program, has a championship pedigree that traces back to his time with the Miami Hurricanes. Under Coker’s leadership, the Roadrunners quickly gained traction, evidenced by a record-breaking 56,743 fans attending their inaugural game in 2011. With a commendable 26 wins during his tenure at UTSA, he effectively put the university on the national sports map.
Making Waves: James Feigen's Swimming Journey
James Feigen’s journey from a high school swimming prodigy to an Olympic medalist is nothing short of inspirational. Dominating competitions at Winston Churchill High School, Feigen continued his success at the University of Texas, winning 18 Big 12 golds and earning Olympic distinction in both 2012 and 2016. His story showcases the dedication required to excel in the demanding sport of swimming, presenting an inspiring example for young athletes.
Frank Harris: A Quarterback’s Determination
Frank Harris stands out as a noteworthy representation of skill and perseverance in UTSA football.
